Shoot Out… digital style.

I was asked to be one three featured photographers to participate in a “Shoot Out” this week for Professional Photographers of South Carolina. At first, I was hesitant to do it because I hate photographing when other professional photographers are watching.  I’m always worrying that they’ll think, “what the heck is she doing?”!  But I accepted the invitation and headed down to Mt. Pleasant Tuesday afternoon for the shoot out.  Glad I did.   It was great fun and quite a challenge at the same time.  Each photographer was given 5 minutes to photograph our models, Whit and Cassie, outside The Red Roof Inn, then inside.  The purpose of the exercise, was to see how each photographer handled the challenge of shooting in a less than picture perfect environment, with the pressures of little time and lots of eyes watching.  Oh, by the way, each photographer was not allowed to watch the other photographers shoot.  Didn’t want to give away any good ideas, to keep it as challenging for each of us.  After we finished photographing, we then headed to Cindy Cantore’s studio to quickly edit our images and present a slideshow to the gathered photographers.  I think I did a pretty good job.  Here are a few of my images from the shoot out, so let me know what you think…
